ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the applicability of tuberculin reactivity to identify children with nontuberculous mycobacteria (NTM) lymphadenitis. Chronic cervical lymphadenopathy (CCL) has appeared as a major diagnostic challenge to pediatricians and adult physicians. The main infectious agent is mycobacteria which is responsible for most of the cases of CCL. It is thus possible that one may expect the occasional misdiagnosis of tuberculosis as NTM infection.
