ABSTRACT
The article addresses issues related to the 100th birthday of Ruth Stafford, one of the founders of the Guideposts journal, on September 23, 2006. Stafford went on to marry a young preacher named Norman Vincent Peale. Together they founded the journal in 1945 and without her, Peale might never have gotten a book called The Power of Positive Thinking published a few years later.
