Data costs will hinder plans for mobile social networking

This article contends that the growth of mobile social networking sector in both the U.S. and Europe is due to data costs. It points out that on the Internet consumers pay for connection by time and not by the amount of data they use. On cellular telephone it is exactly the opposite. Venture capitalists should be able to see opportunities in mobile social networking. The different growth strategies of Skype and MySpace should give investors enough insight into the future of mobile social networking sector.
