ABSTRACT
The author reflects on the use of rapid authoring tools in e-learning. According to a report from the eLearning Guild, there is continuing growth in demand for rapid authoring tools. The author explains a regular pattern in the adoption of the tools claiming that most buyers are initially looking for a way to avoid high costs of developing new material or amending existing material.
