ABSTRACT
The article emphasizes the need to encourage U.S. adult authors to write novels actively. A young writer's valuable asset is discouragement, and that the writers who really need encouraging are the writers past fifty who have never got started or published their best and discovered that the world has endured their revelations with barely a blink.
