If Unions Target Cable

Borden, Seth
August 2006
Multichannel News;8/21/2006, Vol. 27 Issue 33, p23
The author reflects on the possibility of various labor unions' organization of cable on a large-scale basis. The author suggests that the cable employer should ensure it has a comprehensive labor-relations strategy. He further adds that management must commit to effective, fair personnel policies, recognition of employee worth and open communication between supervision and employees. He believes that whatever a company's position, it should be spelled out in a single accessible statement, understood by all management, and explained clearly to all employees.
