ABSTRACT
The author reflects on the 26th National Veterans Wheelchair Games, which was held in Anchorage, Alaska. Sponsors Paralyzed Veterans of America and the Department of Veterans Affairs had encountered problems in accommodating the large turn out of participants. Jonathan Perlin, Veterans Affairs under secretary for health, provided welcoming remarks on behalf of president Randy Pleva. The author has calls the competition as the most innovative, exciting and challenging event in wheelchair sports.
