ABSTRACT
The article focuses on landscape ecology. It has been considered as an interdisciplinary science of heterogeneity. Heterogeneity makes the landscape perspective relevant to ecology at different organizational levels and earth sciences. The genesis of heterogeneity takes place from diversity and complexity of natural and social systems. Landscape ecology is also considered as a science of landscape study.
