ABSTRACT
The article presents a message from part-time scientific editors Ken Flegel, Erica Weir and Eric Wooltorton of the "Canadian Medical Association Journal." The dismissal of the journal's editor-in-chief and senior deputy editor and the resignation of other its other editors are mentioned. Such events were a result of a dispute with the Canadian Medical Association (CMA) and CMA Holdings about the journal's governance and editorial independence. Several reasons were stated by the scientific editors for staying with the journal through such period of transition.
