ABSTRACT
The author comments on the adoption of broadband video sites by cable networks. He cites that some executives privately express concerns about the impact of broadband video on overall cable business. He shares that Time Warner Cable programming expert Fred Dressler criticized The Walt Disney Co. for streaming episodes of Disney Channel shows through the Website. He states that some networks like Sci Fi Channel and Bravo are developing video content that can only be seen on the Web but those efforts are not for free.
