ABSTRACT
This article reflects on pedagogical research in physical education. According to the author, research on teaching and research on teacher education have begun to flourish but more needs to be done in order for the momentum and development to continue. There has been a timely call for reflection and debate in the pedagogy by several authors at national and international meetings as well as in articles published in the journal. The author says that reflection should take two different courses, one of which should be to identify issues, promote debates and generate discussion around topics relevant to the conduct of the pedagogy.
