The article presents information on the observations made by the editors of the journal "Convenience Store News" (CSnews) about certain convenience stores. While in San Antonio, a CSNews editor was intrigued when she found one of the area's largest c-store operators, Valero, offering its own brand of CDs. At a Tedeschi Food Shop Inc. located in a suburb of Boston, a CSNews editor was impressed with the store manager's customer-service skills. She greeted many customers by name and also would inquire about their spouses and children.
