The article presents information on the Library Association's Lifetime Achievement Awards. At the 1997 Kentucky Library Association Award Banquet, Sue Burch, then chair of the Library Awareness Committee presented a special "Presidential Award" to Clo Era Sewell, a 95-year-old retired librarian, for her significant and lasting contributions to the profession. The William H. Natcher Award is given annually to an individual, organization, or corporation that has made a significant philanthropic contribution to a Kentucky library. The contribution may be monetary, or equipment. The Kentucky Libraries Award is given to the most outstanding article from the last full volume. The award-winning article was selected from the articles written for volume 68. The authors Tiana French and Terry Buckner from the Bluegrass Community and Technical College Library, and Ray Bailey from Morehead State University were recognized for "Ways to Enliven Your Academic Library," from the first issue of volume 68. The President's Award is given at the discretion of the Kentucky Library Association President to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the Association.
