ABSTRACT
The author reflects on the role chief financial officers (CFO) play in running a company's financial operations. He believes that a CFO's job is one of the hardest and least appreciated as the position has evolved to require many skills. He thinks CFOs are required to have a broad base of accounting and cost control skills, treasury function skills, and superior management abilities.
