ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the increased incidents of methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) colonization in the patients in the U.S. hospitals. It states that MRSA colonization is seen to be associated with skin and soft tissue infections (SSTIs), and mentions that 20 percent of individuals were prescribed with nasal mupirocin for SSTI diagnosis. It discusses the use of clindamycin antibiotic for treatment of SSTIs.
