Focus on equine industry: Virginia schedules cash hay schools

The article provides information about various conferences related to the equine hay industry, which will be held in February 2006 in the U.S. The theme of this year's winter forage conferences is "Producing Cash Hay for Virginia's Equine Industry." The conferences will be sponsored by the Virginia Cooperative Extension and the Virginia Forage and Grassland Council. On February 7, 2006, the conferences will be held in Chatham, Virginia. The Southern Piedmont Agricultural Research and Extension Center in Blackstone, Massachusetts will hold the conferences on February 8, 2006. On February 9, 2006, the conferences will be held at the Tidewater Agricultural Research and Extension Center in Suffolk, Virginia. Various issues related to methods for the production of high-quality hay, forage plants, pest management, etc., will be discussed at these conferences.
