ABSTRACT
This article presents ratings for short-term political and economic risks faced by four countries of Southeast Asia as of June 2003. Vietnam's economy expanded by a five-year high of 7.0% in 2002 compared with 6.8% in 2001, according to official estimates.A landmark trade agreement with the U.S., signed in December 2001, will support Vietnam's exports of textiles and garments.
