ABSTRACT
This publication provides a report on political risk and macroeconomic prospects for Caribbean countries as of June 2013. Real private consumption growth in the Dominican Republic is expected to begin a multi-year recovery in 2013, after slowdowns in 2011 and 2012. Trinidad & Tobago is expected to see stronger economic activity in 2013 on account of an increase in private consumption, financial sector reforms, and a return to growth for the energy sector.
