ABSTRACT
The article forecasts the political and economic conditions, and the performance of the business sector in the Czech Republic for 2007. The lower house of parliament rejected the proposal to hold a national referendum on allowing the U.S. to build a missile defence shield in the country. It predicts that the gross domestic product is expected to grow 5.8-6.6% year-on-year while the inflation is expected to grow 4.4-5.8% expansion in 2007.
