ABSTRACT
The article discusses political and economic issues in Lithuania. According to the article, the country's minority government may have to make significant concessions to opposition parties to remain in office and move its policy agenda forward. The forecast for Lithuania's real gross domestic product growth (GDP) in 2007 was raised to 8.0 percent. In August 2007, the inflation rate was 5.5 percent due to burgeoning domestic demand and a tightening job market.
