ABSTRACT
The article reports on the efforts of the Cambodian government to provide a positive development in its tourism industry. Commerce Minister Cham Prasidh signed the lease agreement of the island in Kampiot Province and Sihanoukville, which permits the development of $627 million projects focusing on tourism. In addition, the construction, development and expansion of tourist resorts are projected to contribute 6.4% of their economic condition in 2007.
