ABSTRACT
The article presents a summary of risks faced by Lithuania. With regards to politics, new Finance Minister Rimantas Sadzius has been appointed to reduce the budget deficit while delivering on coalition commitments to reduce taxes and increase social spending. The author said that the personal income tax rate is expected to fall in January 2008. Meanwhile, the economy is expanding by 8.3 percent in the first quarter of 2007.
