The article presents a summary of risks faced by Slovakia. With regards to politics, an initiative to ban private health insurer profits is a significant move to reverse the market reforms implemented by the past government. The author said that if the legislation is passed, it would be a step toward returning Slovakia to a single public health insurance provider. Meanwhile, the bid of Siemens to acquire Czech fuse and circuit-breaker firm OEZ has been approved by the Anti-Monopoly Office (PMU).
