ABSTRACT
The article presents an analysis of the economy and political condition of Romania in 2007. The Romanian economy has a strong possibility for growth and that the gaping trade deficit is a sign of huge purchases of capital goods, which will in turn aid the export sector in years to come. However, to keep long-term economic reform and prosperity on track, the country badly needs a government which can command a parliamentary majority.
