ABSTRACT
The article presents a risk assessment for Myanmar from 2006 to 2011. Political stability under the rulership of Peace and Development Council, headed by Prime Minister Soe Win, is discussed. Political implications of international conflicts with neighboring countries are also discussed. A military junta could be launched to speed up the transition to democratic government. The economic implications of political violence and social unrest are featured.
