The article focuses on the annual Armed Forces Day parade. The Myanmar's State and Development Council (SPDC) offered a brief lapse from its habitual reclusiveness by inviting foreign diplomats and journalist to the new capital of Naypyidaw. The effect of the decision to relocate the capital on the stability of the regime is hard to call. However, the impressive fortification will ensure the physical safety of the top leaders of SPDC.
