The article cites that the U.S. is pushing for the United Nations (UN) Security Council to censure the ruling State Peace and Development Council after a UN General Assembly human rights panel passed a resolution condemning Myanmar's unwillingness to investigate claims of political regression, torture and forced labor. The U.S. effort to have Myanmar tagged a threat to international peace and security will dent the junta's international standing.
