ABSTRACT
The article reports that Cambodian Funcinpec party co-ruler and ousted leader Prince Norodom Ranariddh has launched a new political party called the Norodom Ranariddh Party which will participate in the April 2007 local election and the national poll slated for 2008. In November 2006, Ranariddh had voiced fears that authorities would block his application and prevent the party from emerging on the national stage.
