Prime Minister Gediminas Kirkilas reportedly promised to resign if corruption in the country will not decline during his term. Meanwhile, the central bank's macroeconomic projections indicate that the country's real gross domestic product growth will slow from 8.0% in 2006 to 6.7% in 2007 due to a decline in domestic demand.
