ABSTRACT
The article analyzes the political and economic situations in Czech Republic. The country's politics remains stagnant, as the two major political parties begin negotiations about forming a government for the second time. Civic Democrat and current Prime Minister Mirek Topolanek continues to struggle with the political challenges that has seen the country without a true government for several months. Over the next two years, the country's economy will also slow down after hitting a peak in the business cycle in 2006.
