ABSTRACT
The article presents the risk summary of Myanmar's political, economic and business-environment conditions. Politically, 1,000 villagers fled for the Thai border when Myanmar's government attacked two villages as part of its ongoing campaign against the rebellious Karen State. Economically, the government has implemented huge wage rises for civil servants ranging from 1,000% for the top-ranked officials to 500% for the lowest paid. When it comes to business-environment, Myanmar is the lowest in rating when it comes to institutions, on account of poor rule of law and corruption.
