ABSTRACT
The article highlights the political and economic risks in Slovakia as of February 2006. A quick adoption of euro was targeted by the country. The government aims to decrease the public finance deficit at 2.9% in 2006. Support would be received by the country from the European Union to decommission its Bohunice Soviet-era nuclear plant.
