The article focuses on the economic condition of Lithuania as of February 2006. The country is expected to receive about 10.4 billion euro from 2007 to 2013 as a result of the negotiation of Prime Minister Algirdas Brazauskas on the multi-year financial framework in the European Union. An increase of 3 percent on gross domestic product was projected by the Lithuanian Ministry of Finance.
