ABSTRACT
The article presents political and economic news related to Estonia. Having succeeded in implementing key parts of their socially-oriented programme, the main political parties in Estonia, that make up the governing coalition are expected to do well in municipal elections in October 2005. The Ministry of Finance published revised macroeconomic projections for 2005-09 in late August 2005. The projections were made before the national statistical office released its surprisingly high flash estimate for quarter two real gross domestic product growth of 10% year-on-year.
