ABSTRACT
The article presents information on political, economic and business risks of Thailand. Thailand's Transport Minister Suriya Jungrengreangkit easily survived a no confidence vote on June 29, 2005 after being accused of turning a blind eye to alleged corruption related to the purchase of bomb scanners at Bangkok's new airport. Inflation in Thailand reached a six and half year high in June, as the consumer price index rose 3.8% compared with the same month a year earlier. Tourism revenue for Phuket, which normally accounts for one fifth of the total of the Thai tourism industry, is set to fall to THB45bn this year, compared with THB85bn last year.
