This issue was raised after deputies conducting a separate inquiry into possible energy sector corruption, came across a file on Belka compiled by the communist-era secret service. The planned public offering of shares in Polish natural gas company PGNiG in June 2005 has been postponed. Treasury Minister Jacek Socha has affirmed that the US$450 million sale will fall into the term of the next Polish parliament.
