ABSTRACT
The article focuses on Vietnam-U.S. relations. The relations between the two countries will continue to experience a steady improvement in the second term of U.S. President George W. Bush. Vietnam's government has congratulated Bush following his re-election, saying that it hopes the relationship between the two countries will continue to improve. Vietnam was especially critical of the U.S. invasion of Iraq in 2003, calling the war a "gross violation" against Iraq's national independence and sovereignty. The Vietnam government also warned the Bush administration that the invasion could have unforeseen consequences.
