The article presents political, economical and business development news related to Hungary. It reports that thousands of Hungarian farmers have blocked traffic in the capital, Budapest, and gathered outside the country's parliament, to protest against the slow processing of European Union (EU) agricultural subsidies. The protestors have also demanded tariff protection from low cost non-EU imports. Economically, Hungarian 2004 budget deficit came in at 5.1% of Gross Domestic Product. It also reports that Finnish telecom equipment manufacturer Nokia Corp. has confirmed that it has entered into an agreement with Hungarian operator Pannon to expand the coverage of the mobile phone system in Budapest and prepare for the introduction of an improved nationwide 3G network.
