ABSTRACT
This article presents information about political developments in Cambodia. King Norodom Sihanouk has urged Cambodia's political parties to work together to end a political stalemate which has held up the formation of a new government for six months. The king, a constitutional monarch, who has no political power, made the request before heading off to Beijing, China where he would undergo treatment for a serious medical condition. Cambodia has been without a proper functioning government since the general elections on July 27.
