ABSTRACT
Finnish telecoms solutions provider Nokia Corp. has been awarded a contract by Thailand's Total Access Communications Co. to supply its EDGE-enabled base stations to improve the operator's GSM/GPRS 1800 network. The deal will also include the delivery of Nokia's high capacity base station controllers and capacity-enhancing software features. With this latest contract, the Finnish firm has become one of Thailand's most influential multinational manufacturers in the telecommunications sector.
