Case Study
The article presents a case study on the Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs) of Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) for the treatment of cachexia in advanced cancer patients. Four studies were analyzed that provided some evidence of positive therapeutic effect on quality of life, performance status, and inflammatory markers which led to the conclusion that insufficient studies have been performed with regard to determining the effectiveness of NSAIDs in the treatment of cachexia.
