ABSTRACT
Adenocarcinoma, not otherwise specified, involving the alveolar mucosa is rare of the rarest entity. This report describes the case of a 40-year-old female with a complaint of painful growing mass in the posterior region of left side of the lower jaw since one and a half month. Clinical examination showed an asymmetrical facial appearance due to the swelling in relation to the angle of mandible of left side. Microscopic findings and immunohistochemistry results were suggestive of adenocarcinoma not otherwise specified (NOS, grade II). This case immunohistochemically presents a high aggressiveness and poor prognosis.
