ABSTRACT
The article presents a case study of a 91-year-old African-American woman, who was referred to gastroenterology clinic for evaluation of mild epigastric pain and intermittent melena. It mentions that the women was suffering from hemobilia that is an infrequent cause of upper gastrointestinal bleeding and occurs due to hepatic cyst rupture. It also mentions that hemobilia is caused due to hepatic cyst rupture in the absence of iatrogenic or spontaneous trauma.
