ABSTRACT
The article presents a case study of a 60-year-old man without notable medical issues who underwent anterior cervical discectomy for persistent right arm weakness due to cervical stenosis. Later in the night, he developed tightness and swelling on his neck and mild dysphagia, fell unconscious and was operated on for an emergent tracheostomy, but required lengthy rehabilitation afterwards. The life-threatening acute airway obstruction in this case was due to postoperative hemorrhage complication following surgery on the neck.
