ABSTRACT
Bone regeneration is allways a complex procedure in periodontology. Till date there are en number of bone graft material used for predictable bone formation. More recent materials includes synthetic HA based grafts, bovine HA with collagen, calcium sulfate biomaterial based graft with good amount of success. In this case the lateral periodontal cyst was treated with enucleation along with removal of the involved tooth & simultaneous bone augmentation using bovine origin HA collagen in particulate form. The intention was to prepare a suitable implant bed with good quality of dense bone for future implant placement. Good quality & quantity bone formation was achieved within 12 months. Implant was placed with very good primary stability in the same site.
