ABSTRACT
Desmoid tumors are histologically benign fibrous neoplasms originating from the musculoaponeurotic structures throughout the body. Despite their aggressive local infiltration, desmoid tumors lack a metastatic potential. Main locations of the desmoid tumors are the abdominal wall, the proximal extremities and the mesenteric intestine, especially in patients with familial adenomatous poliposis. In this study, we report a 27-year-old woman, who presented with a mass in the right upper side of her abdomen and was diagnosed as abdominal desmoid tumor postoperatively.
