ABSTRACT
The article discusses a case of respiratory diphtheria-like illness in an 80-year-old Idaho man whose pharyngeal specimens has Corynebacterium ulcerans. This case was reportedly notified by the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare on September 12, 2010. The patients reportedly sought medical attention for nasal congestion and voice changes but allergic rhinitis treatment did not improve his condition. The treatment regimen given to the patient is also discussed.
