Case Study
The article presents a case study of a 39-year-old woman exhibiting a five-day history of fever, chills, and pain in the right shoulder and right upper quadrant of her abdomen. A computed tomography (CT) scan revealed a multi-septated abscess in the liver and the fluid drained from the abscess was reactive to Entamoeba (E.) histolytica IgG. The article discusses amebic liver abscesses and its medical management.
