ABSTRACT
Restorative concepts have changed dramatically, influenced by the knowledge of the adhesion. Thus the restorative philosophy has changed, we are in search of restorative materials that behave similarly to the tooth structure, subject studied by the biomimetics. Historically, the philosophy of restorative materials selection has always been based on the highest solidness or hardness. The understanding that the restorative materials should be selected not only because of their rigidity, but based on biomechanical behavior, is the goal of this article by means of a case report.
