ABSTRACT
Three case studies are presented in which a modified version of the latissimus dorsi musculocutaneous flap technique can be used to reconstruct head and neck defects. Limitations of the rotational arc in the original technique are addressed in the latissimus dorsi pedicled flap reconstruction technique which is an option when a higher risk of free flap failure exists. Case procedures include a neck dissection and orbital exenteration in a patient with eyelid squamous cell carcinoma.
